Skin in the game

When people signed their name, it used to mean they would be the one to take the blame when the train went off the rails. But not anymore. Now we can hide behind the internet or blame an AI agent. Because avoiding consequences is easier than ever, we'll see fewer people showing up with skin in the game.

If you're going to do something that involves other people, you better do it with skin in the game. Having skin in the game means your actions are connected to their effects. When you harm people, you take a cut. When you improve their lives, you gain a reward.
